MUMBAI: A day after union minister Narayan Rane’s remark about ‘slapping’ Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sainiks protested outside his bungalow located in Juhu area of Mumbai's western suburb.
Not only Sena workers but the party’s youth wing Yuva Sena also participated in the protest. “Instead of just making noise on social media, they (Nitesh Rane) should come out of the bungalow.

We are waiting outside. Do not dare to challenge Yuva Sena. His bungalow is not a lion's den but a rodents hole,” said Varun Sardesai, Yuva Sena secretary.
Yuva Sena activists protest outside Narayan Rane’s bungalow at Juhu. Sena corporator and Yuva Sena functionary Amey Ghole also participated in the protest.
Sardesai is a maternal cousin of Yuva Sena chief and Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray.
Few of the Yuva Sena activists got injured in a mild lathi-charge by the police while trying to control the situation.
Rane had made the statement for what he claimed as Thackeray's ignorance of the year of India's independence.
Sardesai said Uddhav Thackeray is not only the chief minister of the state but also a party president and like a God for the party workers.
While addressing the protestors, the Yuva Sena leader congratulated the workers and said that the protest was successful. He appealed to the followers that everyone should go and file a case against Rane in their respective local police station.
